I'm aware of the problems of cross-posting, and yes, it's a pain in the
neck.

Most modern newsreaders have some option to "Kill Articles Cross-
posted" I've set up my newsreader (XNews) in this fashion and only see
articles posted directly to r.f.c.

That's all I have to say about that.
