Can anyone in Chicago recommend a nice Asian grocery store? I assume
there are many, but don't know where to begin. And since I don't drive
I need to plan a route to a particular destination. I also only speak
English so would need to rely on package labels and shelf signs

On a trip to Boston last year I discovered a delightful Japanese
grocery In Chinatown -- yes, I know, "China"town is multi-cultural. If
I had had a kitchen in my hotel rom I would have gone wild
experimenting with so much of the fresh and packaged goods there, most
of which I didn't recognize. I settled for bring home three kinds of
teas, and while there almost daily sampling pastries from the bakery
next door.
