This is unfortunately inaccurate. Vegetarianism was invented by two
brothers, identical twins, one Lithuanian, the other Argentinian. Their
names were "Vegetari" and "Ianism" (that pesky double "I" was dropped
when it was found that Australians and Libertarians couldn't pronounce
it). They were upset with their parents and decided to not eat the
luscious yak nostrils and succulent polar bear livers their parents
liked, just to show them what for.
