1) I have *lots* of bandwidth.

2) I was bored.

3) I like trying to post in different styles and to be able to converse
with anybody -- including half-wits who like to ask inane questions.
Sometimes it's fun to try to get the inane question thread to quickly
topic-drift into something interesting (that was not the case this time,
but it was about a week ago.)

4) I thought it would **** people off just a little -- especially with
that cascade thing we had going with no trimming so that the S/N ratio
approached zero. Sort of a canonical bad example. ;-) I figure anyone
who was *really* ****ed about it killed the thread a long time ago.
