Boy, that brings back memories. I remember an elderly lady who used to fix
shredded wheat biscuits in a similar manner using hot water and salt. I
grew up with a similar recipe, but it was much more decadent. I'd kill for
a serving, but it's almost fatal!
2 Kellog's whole shredded wheat biscuits
4 pats of real butter
whole milk
honey
Take the 2 whole biscuits and place 2 pats on top of each biscuit, side by
side. Place biscuits under broiler and broil till all butter is melted and
absorbed into the biscuit. A little toasting/browning is good.
Pull biscuits from broiler and put in bowl and immediately break up into
bite-size chunks. Drizzle chunks with honey. Pour milk over. Eat and
go to Hell.
