Just so. I know only one person in my social circle who does not eat
wheat, and that is because she _is_ a celiac. Wheat products make her
very ill, and it's a condition that she very much wishes she did not
have. She cannot eat so many different things that it makes eating
out, or even eating in company at other people's homes very difficult.
It is certainly not because of a wish to express anti-European racism.
Everyone else I know, myself included, eats wheat products practically
on a daily basis. My older brother used to live on Wheat Thin
crackers and peanut butter.
