Yes. She has proven that she can take care of herself. If you go
overboard you will just frighten her to no good result. Now you
know that you won't always be ont he scene to protect her, but she
can do a pretty good job by herself.

By the way: I'd be a lot more afraid of a predetory date/boyfriend
than a rapist for my daughter because the incidence is a lot greater
and harder to know when to fight.
