Default "Everything 99p" shop in the Camden High Street, London NW1

Just posted this to the Frugal Living groups but it might also be useful
here.

There's a new "Everything 99p" shop in the Camden High Street just north of
the junction with Plender Street, and their stuff is definitely not all
rubbish! Nearest Underground Stations are Mornington Crescent and Camden
Town on the Northern Line.

I just went in there for a look round expecting everything in there to be
crap and was pleasantly surprised.

I came out with a 550g bottle of olives and a large, 145g jar of dried basil
both for just 99p each. I've just tried 'em and they're fine.

They've also got 860g tins of Tomato Puree in there. Unless you're going to
use it up very quickly you'll need to freeze it once you've opened it to
stop it going off though. It's not a lot cheaper than normal but at 99p
you'd still be saving something like 30 to 50p and every little helps.

The basil is "Schwartz for Chefs" brand and in Sainsbury's a tiny jar or
packet of Schwartz herbs costs well over a pound.

It's very crowded having just opened but it's well worth a look.

It's ironic that such a cheap shop like this should open up where the DIY
etc. store Romany's was, who were so horrendously expensive.

Boner Petite,
