Spaghetti Tomato Sauce
2 cup chopped onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup oil
12 lg. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
4 tsp. leaf basil
2 tsp. salt
2 cup water
2 env. instant beef broth or 2 cubes
2 bay leaves
1 Tbsp. oregano
1 lg. can tomato paste
Saute onion and garlic; add remaining ingredients. Simmer 1 hour or so
depending on thickness desired. Sauce may be canned or frozen. When
serving, add chopped mushrooms.
