I wish the local fire department would stop it's fundraising tactics. They set
up tolls at main intersections and at the entrance to the local plaza.

I once had someone call claiming to be a police office saying that he had the
tickets that my wife ordered for the circus. The scam is that you pay for some
underprivileged child to go to the (their) circus. I told him that I doubted
he was a police office, just an employee for a marketing company and hung up.
The SOB called back and started to yell at me. I just set the phone down and
walked away. After a few minutes I went back and hung up the phone. I wonder
how long he carried on before he realized I wasn't there.
