My wife and I ate at the ones in Syracuse and Rochester. Good stuff.
We try BBQ all over the country and live in Houston. Best I've found up
north and comparable to better places down south.
Like some others here, the owners spent a few years on the road, cooking
and learning, before they opened up the Syracuse store in early 80s.
Got all the regulars and they use the right language. Their barbecue is
slow pit smoked - ready when it is ready, steaks and the like are
grilled... They even have a slow smoked Prime Rib.
Only things missing were corn bread and Texas sausage.
