U read/collect menus?
I don't know if this sounds weird or not, but I sometimes will write
fancy restaurants throughout America and request a copy of their
dinner menu. I enjoy reading about what they serve and I am surprised
at how many will send the real fancy ones and not some paper carry-out
menu. I even enjoy going to their sites, on-line, and reading their
menus. I guess it is sort of a hobby.
I really get a kick out of some 5-star restaurants. In their menu you
will see the food. Usually a small amount, emphasis placed on
presentation and very little food and then they charge $50-100 for it.
That is not for me, but I do enjoy reading about it. As I watch these
cooking shows, I am amazed, again, at how presentation seems to be the
biggest part and the amount is secondary. What I find really
attractive is when the plate is overloaded and you cannot see any of
the plate except maybe the rim. But that is me.
And you?
