No. I did not forget Bruno Gerussi. I had the pleasure of meeting him
once, and my sister in law was one of the guest celebrity's on his show.
My wife and I got a kick out of that because she is not a cook. Her then
husband had to suggest an easy dish and show her how to do it. We used to
get Galloping Gourmet, Celebrity Cooks and Julia Child. Some of the
morning shows had a brief cooking segment, but there was no Food TV
channel. I live in the boonies and had no access to cable. CBC carried
Celebrity Cooks and, later on, The Urban Peasant. My limited VHF pulled
in American PBS stations with the occasional cooking show. Now there are
all sorts of cooking shows available. There are a lot more of them on
PBS, Food TV, Food TV Canada and who knows how many others.
