I know this is so outdated you've probably forgotten it, but ...

I got some of this, from IPoT, at a Whole Foods. I am by no means any kind
of Assam expert, nor is Assam my favorite tea, and I probably won't answer
this adequately for you. Having said that, I was not impressed with this
tea. I certainly taste/smell *no* "cocoa" notes (one or two Keemun's are the
only teas I've tried in which I detect cocoa notes). Though in my experience
the differences between higher-end Assams is small, this one just seems to
me to be a little lacking.

My partner and I (well, OK, mostly I) have been on a search for a top Assam
recently. The Moran, to me, isn't in that category, though my partner seems
more satisfied with it. To me, something like

(though the current lot doesn't seem quite as good as last year's) or
especially Upton's TA77 are better. Based on this, if you wanted to order
from IPoT, I'd get their Meleng, though I haven't tried it yet.
