I just made leek and potato soup from Julia Childs book and when I
tried to eat it, the leeks went half in my mouth and half on my
chin...

When she says to slice the leeks, does she mean cross-wise or
length-wise...

I went with length wise... Is that right???

I though Julia explained everything....
