Right. He particularly focuses in on newcomers who are skilled or are
otherwise interesting. I think he finds them intimidating and thus wants to
drive them off. Those who say he "adds" to the group don't take this into
account. He chases away some excellent sources and the news group suffers
for it.

He's proven that many times. I don't even think he possesses much
technical knowledge. Much of this is puffery as I see it.
