i lived for 25 years in a home in which we had artisan well water-
everything had had huge lime deposits-
i used salt as you did-
to solve the problem of the teapot-I switched to a glass
teapot-"Whistler"-the openings were wide enough for a dainty hand to clean
the inside and then used salt and rinsed thoughly
