That would make too much sense. Actually, what would make sense is not
to mow the lawn when it's wet while dragging an electric cord around
behind him.

He bought three pair of these shoes. One for working in the yard.
Unlike most people, who would use the old still sturdy shoes for outdoor
work, he's crowing about new shoes. He loves to tell everyone how much
money he spends.
