Last week I returned from six weeks of physical rehab in a very similar place. The care was top - notch, all staff members were super, from the cleaners on up to the MD's...
The food was generally appalling, I was on a "soft" diet, so meat, etc., was often ground up, resembled dog food or Kuthe Chow...
I had a mini - fridge in the room, and the lounge around the corner had a micro for cooking and a large fridge that I could use to store frozen items.. I ended up ordering most of my vittles from Amazon Fresh grocery delivery, so I was okay...also ordered take - out several times.
I was lucky I had a nice quiet room, not too much drama with LOUD teevee's, etc...
What was shocking was the RUDE behaviors of some of the other patients towards the kind and caring staff...I can understand how "nursing home abuse" can occur, I told the nurses that if I ran this joint these atrocious patients would be OUT on the street, lol...
I enjoyed chatting with staff, especially the CNA's, they work hard for pretty much minimum wage ($15/hour here). I gifted the nursing and physical therapy staff with lotsa nice chocolate, plus constantly thanking them for their effort and time...when I left they were really sincerely happy that I had been there, adding that they hoped they'd *not* see me again, lol...
Anyways, Sheldon, I am glad you are back home and back here, hope all is coming along okay for you...
Now that I'm much more vigorous and energetic and On The Road to Wellville I am ready to go out and KICK some SOCIALIAST/DUMBOCRATIC ass, lol...
PS: I had no erotic experiences with anyone either in the hospital or the rehab center - in case Steve Wertz is wondering...
