Despite claims that the border closed at the beginning of the pandemic
we have been seeing thousands and thousands of people arriving by air
from covid hot spots, and a lot of them have been infected. Now the
migrant farm workers are arriving and because there were so many
outbreaks among them last year they have been given priority. The plan
was to vaccinate them at the airport upon arrival. There are no plans
for priority vaccination for our border guards who are dealing with
these people.
