I did the cat's litter box this morning too, which is normally my wife's
thing, but she was out of town with her parents. The cat box is easy
because we have one of these:

We've had a few of them over the past 15 or so years, and changed out
quite a few motors, but since the new design and using only lightweight
clumping litter, I haven't changed a motor on the one we have now.
I also unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, so there wouldn't be dirty
dishes around when she got home. Normally, she deals with all
dishwashable dishes, and I deal with all of the pots and pans that need
to be hand washed. I did all those too, though my main accomplishment
was that I dispatched the groundhog in the most humane way, carbon
monoxide.
