We had pickle ball trophies, and Denise Thompson - Homecoming Queen,
who drove an Opel, and I - Stoner Burnout dude, who drove a moped
won the trophy our senior year. We were the only co-ed team of 2
and we had some serious Asian ping pong players as competition.
Half the School was Asian in Silicon Valley 1984. I was pretty proud
of that one for about three days.

I never did pick up the Trophy - I hope Denise did. It was topped by
two males with tennis rackets. They didn't have bi-sexual Pickle
Ball trophies back then (So who knows, maybe they have Man vs. Child
Basketbear trophies by now, too).

Needless to say, I didn't hang out with the preppie crowd after our
Championship Win and she didn't become a stoner either. So alas, we
never married.
