I always have to blow my nose when I wake up so I go through quite a bit
of tissues first thing in the morning. Sinus problems. I wouldn't use
a cloth handkerchief for that.

Like you, I put my glasses on when I wake up and don't take them off
again unless I'm showering until I go to bed. I have a microfiber cloth
in my purse for cleaning the lenses so they don't get scratched.
Tissues wouldn't work, especially not if they're the type with "lotion".
A handkerchief would work but the microfiber cloth is very soft so it
doesn't scratch/affect the coatings on the lenses. I wouldn't use it to
blow my nose. LOL
