They demolished the old house and are building a huge duplex. We call them "monster houses." Buying all the Chinese guitars I can get my stinkin' hands on is my way of expressing my rage against the Chinese and their monster houses.

No point in buying a bunch of guitars. I have a few, but they meet certain needs.
My standard is my 1996 Blueshawk. I have small hands, and the neck is a perfect
fit. I have a 12-string. I have a cheapo solid body guitar that is tuned down 3 half
steps that I used for one song because the chords were 1st position, and there
was a vocal note that was too high pitched for me to reliably hit w/o squeaking. I
should sell that. I should also sell my Samick fretted bass. I'm not a bass player,
and only used it to compose, but my cheapo fretless would work fine for that. It's
feather light, strung B-E-A-D with tapewounds, and has crappy pickups. I really
should sell that too. It plays beautifully, and if a young person bought it and
replaced the pickups, they could get really creative with it. Maybe I could donate
it to a school.
I did make progress in getting rid of stuff I'll never use again. I gave my son my
skateboard, a 9.125" deck with soft wheels, perfect for filming, and I'd be a fool
to ever skate again. We're in getting rid of stuff mode in general, decluttering.
