Ouch. That had to hurt.
I used to work with a guy who had a similar accident on the dock at his
cottage. It was a valuable lesson for me. Bill had worked there for
about 30 years and had never taken a sick day. He took one for that,
and the *******s hassled him over it because there is a policy that if
you took a vacation day the day before or after vacation you had to have
a doctor's note.
