Well, I admit that I'm not well versed in this show nor the U.K.
border protection, immigration, or vacation laws. But it sounds
like she wasn't too keen on them either.

I remember being on Greyhound into Texas from Northern CA and the
first I finally fell asleep was around El Paso (e days later).
Apparently the bus was diverted into a hanger and border agents
boarded to check for illegals. And I guess I looked Mexican enough
that one of them shook me awake and said something to me in Spanish.
And I was cranky and cussed him out in English well enough that he
just smiled and moved along. I asked the girl next to me, "Who the
**** was that asshole?". She laughs and says, "Cops. Border patrol.
They pulled the bus over". I laughed back, "Huh. You think I fooled
'em?"
