I remember trying sweet potatoes when I was a kid and it set off an
aversion that took me years to overcome. It was some sort of casserole
of mashed sweet potatoes and covered with marshmallow and baked until it
was all sticky and gooey. I don't think any of us were impressed. We
just didn't eat sweet dishes like that. I know eat sweet potato regularly.
