Most smaller stores appreciate cash. They pay about 4% when you use
plastic. Big stores have it built into the price so they don't care.

Right now many stores don't want to handle cash but normally, anything
under $50 or so I pay cash and usually tip in cash in a restaurant. I
hit the ATM once a month.
