My Nissan Leaf is on it's way up to where I bought it...

That's still way too much for tires for a Leaf.

The Michelins I got on my CRV weren't very expensive. The year I spent
working on a road crew we had to pick up a lot of blown tires. That was
1978-79 and Michelins were expensive high end. We picked up more dead
Michelins than all other brands combine.
Remember the tires of the 50s and early 60s. Every car had a spare tire
and they were used frequently. Tires didn't last the way they do now.
You'd be lucky to get 10,000 mile s out of a tire.
