I don't blame you for being confused. It is hard to keep up. There are
the jobs, the job offers, the jobs offers that weren't really offers,
the jobs that never really happened, the jobs that he got and was
looking for work again in a day or two. Maybe he needs to start a blog
to track his actual status.

My work history is a little easier to track. I started with a paper
route when I was 10 and kept that into highschool but gave it up when we
moved. I had a summer time job in construction that summer when I was
14. When I was 15 I had a part time job in a teen nightclub. Then I was
in the reserves and also cleaned a restaurant on weekends and then in a
department store. I had a summer job at an allow plant when I was at
university and did not need part time work. Never the less, I ended up
looking after the animals in the Psych lab, and later on worked as a TA
and research assistant. I had part time work until I landed something
full time, though I was in unemployment for a few weeks. Then of got on
with the government and worked there for 28 years with several
promotions, so I was pretty well steadily employed from age 10 until
retirement at 53.
