People on this side of the rock have been getting alerts on their phones warning us of flash flooding. This has been happening several times a day for the last 3 days. It's a very strange thing to be happening. OTOH, it's still a lot better than getting an alert of immediate danger of a rain of nuclear missiles any day.

One can always think of something better. Leg amputated? I'd rather have a pedicure! OTOH, most alerts are better than a nuclear missile attack on a tiny rock in the middle of nowhere.
