The earth has been doing that long before humans. It's a cyclic event.
Global warming started about 10,000 years ago when the last ice age ended.

Granted, humans in the past 100 years are speeding it up a bit but it
will continue to happen even without us. One more good pandemic and the
earth will be without our worthless species and it will go back to
normal usual cycles and heal itself.

Mother Earth is the Alpha in the long run.
Humans are nothing more than fleas on the dog.

Just ask the dinosaurs that thrived here way longer than humans have.
