Our Daughter Charlotte came home last night for 2 weeks of vacation
after an 11 month deployment on the Nimitz.

Feels good! As mentioned, she's a CS (Ships cook). During that time
she got 2 'EP' evaluations (top mark reviews).

We went grocery shopping so she could get some of her favorite goodies.
Plus we needed eggs and veggie bins were down to just carrots, onions
and potatoes.

Got Broccoli, a bunch of markdown shiitake and oyster mushrooms (.49
each at 8oz), more onions (doing a crockpot carmelized onions). A
special Pasta Charlotte wants to use for a dish she devised that the
ship really loved. One of the things she came up with for the salad
bar when lettuce was gone.Some nice Cod and Flounder fillets. Bay
scallops which she wants to try adding to it. (For shipboard, I will
see it but I think canned oysters might be a possible sub since
scallops won't be obtainable I think). Other stuff like a whole
chicken and some beef steaks.

Some Talenti gelatos on sale (plastic but I have a perfect use for all
Talenti containers so not a plastics issue to me).
