Duh. Any foreign language is gibberish to a non-speaker of it.

In number of syllables, the German term is shorter than the
English term. With a little practice, it's not difficult to
separate those eye-watering compound words into their
simple constituents.

Now, the idiomatic meaning of "giant vacation crocodile", which
is the way Google translates it, is a bit of a puzzle.
