You have to nuke frozen stuff in steps with a waiting time inbetween.
Once it thaws, even stir it a bit to even out the heat then nuke it some
more.

PS - if you like the Banquet mac n' cheese, try Michelina's sometime.
It's better, imo. It also has bits of well seasoned beef in it.
