When my kids were young, you wouldn't have believed the
numbers of trick-r-treaters that came to our door. One year
a huge bus from some church off loaded kids so we had
probably 60 more than usual.

The nice part of being in a "busy" area and having kids who
went out trick-r-treating was when we ran out of candy, we'd
cherry pick their candy bags and recycle the rest. In those
days, we had family (and a few friends with kids the right
age) Halloween partys every year. We fired up the bbq to
grill hot dogs for kids and sausages for adults... Adults
took turns escorting kids and a good time was had by all.

Those are very good memories!
