I had not heard about them being especially problematic but I did a
little research and was surprised at some of the issues. Apparently,
there are some very serious issues. One site mentioned that they was no
warranty and that repairs are extremely expensive. That was one of the
reasons their insurance was so costly. My buddy has a friend out in BC,
another retired pilot, who sold his XKE and bought a Tesla. I kept
hearing how he loved the speed and performance. He dumped it after a
year because the insurance soared up to $12,000 per year. (BCIC)
