Costs a whole lot less for a nicer and much better maintained pool
along with all the acouterments (showers, steamroom, sauna, gym, etc.)
by joining the local Y and the membership is a tax write off as part
of your medical expense (Silver Sneakers) membership is ~50/month.
Pools are typically indoors, some facilities have indoor and outdoor
pools. There are lifeguards and also instructors for water aerobics
classes, some teach SCUBA. The one here has an indoor ice skating
rink.
