I always keep dehy onions and other dehy veggies in the pantry but
none of those chems except the msg. And meat loaf requires home
ground meat, none of that mystery meat here, then may as well use chem
laden soup mix. Dehy (granulated) garlic works well. I'm a strong
believer in dehys, especially bell pepper, how often yoose think you
have one in the fridge only to discover it decayed to mush. I also
keep an assortment of dehy 'shrooms, excellent for soups... only takes
30 minutes to rehydrate, carefully pour the liquid into soups but
discard the dregs. MSG negates heavy use of salt.
