I've been composting my yard for 4 years and always clean and wash of the mowerÂ*in the same place, and managed to bring spores from an orange fungus from the one place it grew when I moved in up to where I wash off the mower! And I'm sure with time their mycelial mesh underground will connect!

Funguses do that! For 3 to 4 billion years!
