Chef Juke...
If I had your E-mail address I would have sent you a private note, but this
one will have to do. Your Dad raised a right fine son, judging from your
message to this newsgroup, and that means that he was certainly a right fine
Dad. I am happy for your good fortune in having so fine a Dad, and I will
bet that he also said "Everybody eats when they come to my house!"
If it is any comfort at all to you, Chef Juke, I have worked in the hospital
field since 1948 (and still do) and I can state that there are times when a
person is ready to "go" and then goes. For them it is likely a blessing,
while for those of us left here on earth, it is sadness. For your sadness,
I offer you no real consolation, but for the goodness your Dad brought to
you and to all of us, I want to share some thanks.
With my best wishes,
Gus Kilthau
