There is no law about it, just recommendations.
Because we like fresh fruit and veggies, 2 weeks is about as long as we
go between trips to the grocery. The rain and heat was all messed up
here for my container garden so cropped little. Some green stuff, but
well past flower and set fruit for the year. Even the lettuce died out
this time.
