I've never had anyone stare at me either for dining alone. So what if they
did? What're the chances I'll ever see that person again? With the population
of Nashville, that would be 1 in a million. 90% of the other single diners
have their heads stuck in their cell phones so they don't even know I'm in
the restaurant to know that I'm eating alone.
