You can get used to spiciness, if you want. And then it's no longer in
the way of tasting your food. Chillis actually add flavour, not just
spiciness. Spiciness is only in the way if it's more than you're used
to.

That has nothing to do with being a supertaster. That's just your
personal taste. I bet that some wine experts are supertasters.
