To me, if I bake a potato, I place a whole potato (not peeled) into the
oven to cook - no oil or other ingredients used. To roast potatoes, I peel
them and cut them into pieces, and cook them in fat - either along with the
meat or with some olive oil if I'm not doing a "roast".
