The average house cat weighs between 7 and 10 pounds. 12-14 pounds
isn't unusual for a male. Larger than that usually means fat, OR a
large breed, like the Maine Coon.

I had a female that barely broke 5 pounds, but she was the runt of her
litter. GREAT cat though.

I had a male that weighed over 20. Ate light at home but would catch
AND eat wild rabbits, rattlesnakes, and other things. Was VERY
healthy and active until he was poisoned by a neighbors garden.
