My cousin purchased a large vegetable marrow squash for $2CDN, and I got a basket of nice new potatoes for $3.50. The squash she makes into what she calls noodles with a sour cream and dill sauce.

It sounds like a heck of an operation. We have a farmer's market at the mall in my little town. It's pretty cool. They got stuff like Filipino baked goods, Vietnamese breads, salads, and noodles, dried fish, paiai, Hawaiian fern shoots, breadfruit hummus etc., etc., etc.
