I may have been the one who gave you the idea of cornmeal dumplings,
leo. I remember posting about making chicken stew with cornmeal
dumplings. It's not something I grew up eating but hey, apparently if
you live in the South long enough you'll wind up making cornmeal
dumplings.

It's not 100% cornmeal, of course. Half flour, half
cornmeal. I liked them but don't expect the texture to be anything like
fluffy Bisquik (or from scratch) drop dumplings. They were very tasty.
I should make cornmeal dumplings the next time I make chicken stew!
