Not where I live... says so on the pump... my vehical runs smoother
and I get 3 more miles per gallon with premium. Premium costs about
40¢ more a gallon but I think it's worth it, especially for a
smoother running engine. The owner's manual for my vehical says to
use regular but my vehical is a 1990, there was no ethanol back then.
My mechanic clued me in, he said no gas engine should be run with
ethanol, not even a lawnmower. He was right, I now use premium in my
push mower and it runs much better. I use premium in my 2 cycle
engines too and they run better and are much easier to start. Ethonal
is most definitely a gimmick that will cost you major maintenance
costs and having to replace prematurely,
