BTW, don't listen to the old Japanee guy in the video who was steaming the lau lau. You can't steam lau lau in two hours. You need at least 7 hours but 10 hours would be better.
Dinner tonight was braised short-ribs. I added a small can of tomato sauce, some ketchup, 1/2 C of Korean pepper flakes, 3/4 C brown sugar, about a cup of wine. This was braised in a slow cooker for 5 hours.
